What to Expect

When you come to Oreana Baptist Church you can expect a number of things:

  • Someone (usually the pastor and a few others) will greet you at the door.
  • When you walk into the sanctuary you will be allowed to chose to sit in any of our padded pews.
  • You can then expect someone from our church to come and greet you and tell you just how much we appreciate you coming and worshipping with us.
  • When the service begins you will hear the voices of God's people joining together in a number of hymns and choruses accompanied by our pianist and organist.
  • When it comes time for the special music you may here a solo, a duet, or an instrumental number
  • When the sermon begins the children will be excused upstairs to go classes designed specifically for them and staffed by people that love God and love children.
  • The sermon will be Bible driven, expositional, and both uplifting and challenging in this day in which we live
  • At the end of both Sunday services there will be a time to come and respond to the moving or the Holy Spirit or to come and receive prayer from the pastor or other church leader
  • You can expect people of varying ages dressed from very casual to ties. There is no dress code, we just ask that you dress modestly.
